Cut-off times

Urban/Residential Shipping Days 

Our Daily Order cut-off is 7pm. For next day shipping.

We Ship Mon-Thurs for arrival Tues-Fri

So if you order after 7pm Wednesday your Urban/Residential Shipping order will be sent on Monday for overnight delivery Tuesday.

Rural Shipping Days

Our Daily Order cut-off is 7pm. For next day shipping.

Rural orders ship Mon-Weds for arrival Tues-Fri 

So if you order after 7pm Tuesday your Rural Shipping order will be sent on Monday for Tues/Weds delivery.

Public Holidays & Rural Shipping cut-off:

For Friday Public Holidays (Good Friday, Matariki & Canterbury Anniversary (2nd Friday in November) the order cut-off for Rural shipping is Monday 7pm for Weds/Thurs delivery.   

Public Holidays

Don't worry, if your order is affected by public holidays your food will be safe in our freezer, shipped on the next possible day and arrive frozen and you don't need to do anything.

Matariki/Waitangi Week Cut-off: Tues 7pm For arrival Thursday.

We do not ship from Fresh Chef the day of and day prior to Public Holidays. Most public Holidays in NZ are Mondays with the exception of Matariki, Good Friday & Canterbury Anniversary which also affects our shipping.

Matariki, Good Friday, Canterbury Anniversary Friday (2nd Friday in November): 

We do not ship to the South Island (or orders that usually come on NZ Post) on the Thursday prior to these dates.

So if your subscription usually arrives on a Friday - you will not receive it that week unless you change your order day to the Monday prior. 

All other NZ Public Holidays fall on Mondays (apart from ANZAC & WAITANGI)

Pickup Orders

Pickup is not available for subscription orders.

We offer the pickup option for our fans in the 7400 Rangiora post code and surrounding post codes.

You can Pickup Orders Free from Fresh Chef in Rangiora from Five Stags Rangiora at the Arlington Shops, 29 Huntingdon Drive, Rangiora.

Pickups are available Monday - Thursday from 2.00pm.  Standard Order cut-off of 7pm applies.

Rural Shipping times

Rural deliveries may not arrive overnight.  Our frozen food delivery system allows up to 2.5 days. 

Does it Stay Frozen?

Yes, we have a proven packing and shipping system that allows for two and a half days.  Over 96% of our orders arrive overnight.  If something goes wrong with shipping delays, which is rare - the top meals may start to soften. These meals could go straight into your fridge for consumption if partly frozen.    

The Delivery Journey

Step 1. You Make an order - We Make your order with lots of Love!
Step 2. --Next Order Cut Off time happens-- (7pm Daily Sunday - Thursday)
Step 3. You will be notified by email or text message when we print a courier sticker to go on your order and tell Jatinda from the courier company to come and pick it up for you (but please note the cut-off times in Step 2.
Step 4. Jatinda picks up your order from our freezer, when he scans the box you will be notified that its on its way.
Step 5. Your order arrives the next day. Where you should be notified again of its arrival when your local Courier driver drops it off!

NZ Wide Rural: Courier Post (yellow vans) Leave Fresh Chef Mon-Weds @ 2.30pm

South Island Urban & Residential: Courier Post (yellow vans). Mon-Thurs @ 9.30am

Delivery Instructions

For NZ Post (South Island or All Rural)

For NZ Post (South Island or Rural Orders) - Access the tracking information from your order.  This is sent when your order has been picked up and scanned by your Courier driver.

Please do check they've followed your instructions though!

You will receive a notification when your order arrives.

Public Holiday on a Friday Shipping

Friday Public Holiday Cut-off: Tues 7pm For arrival Thursday.

Otherwise your order before Sunday 7pm will arrive on the Tuesday.
